Hi all-what a brill forum! Finally moved from lurking to posting!! I recently bought my first property-3 bed terrace-v exciting. I've been doing a lot of the work on it myself Sarah Beeny style but had to call a heating engineer out last week to look at my boiler-a Wickes 102 combi (Halstead) because it stopped making hot water but heating was working. The engineer had a really good look at it and said it was probably the diverter valve/diaphragm. He changed that and it did make hot water for a few minutes but then stopped again. Now heating and hot water not working.:( He is recommending I replace boiler as he says it is probably PCB which is expensive esp for Halstead.
