This is not one of the roughly 500 or so copies which include the leaf signed by Alice Hargreaves (the 'original Alice') but this copy is signed at the colophon by Frederic Warde, who was responsible for the typography and the handsome morocco binding. Clean and Near Fine in its full red leather, with lavish gilt-tooling and decoration at the the panels. Internally, very clean, with no writing or markings of any kind. Octavo, all edges gilt, the legendary John Tenniel illustrations accompany the text.

Also includes a tight, solid example of the publisher's light-blue, printed slipcase, with customary darkening along the spine and pronounced spotting at the front panel (and a bit to the spine and the rear panel).
